Summary Information Primary Purpose Under the general supervision
of the Director of the Pacific Pathways for Health Professions (
PPHP ), the Senior Program Manager is responsible for oversight and
management of operations, administration, and budget processing for
the PPHP program. This position further supports the director with
recruitment, hiring, marketing, event planning, reporting, and
stakeholder engagement. The position functions under minimal
general supervision, independently performing work in high volume,
fast-paced environment.
Program Information: The PPHP program is a new five (5) year grant
funded collaboration between the Schools of Health Science,
Dentistry, and Pharmacy to improve underrepresented student success
along the pathway from recruitment into health professions programs
at Pacific to employment in the health workforce.
The specific aims of the grant are:
- Diversify the healthcare workforce by:
- Expanding recruitment events to underserved groups.
- Establishing more holistic admissions practices.
- Retain and support underrepresented students by:
- Providing comprehensive student support.
- Augmenting the cultural/linguistic humility curriculum.
- Send healthcare workers to serve diverse populations in
California by:
- Expanding clinical training opportunities with underrepresented
populations.
- Providing career placement services into rural and Health
Provider Shortage Areas ( HPSA ). Essential Functions
- Manage the operations and procedures of the HPP Program;
including supervision of operations, recruiting, admissions,
marketing, finance, procurement, events, pre-matriculant, student,
and alumni relations, program preparations and logistics, and
implementation and delivery of the program, actively seek out and
drive process improvement, automation, and cost-efficient
initiatives related to program operations.
- Supervise select HPP program staff and student workers as
needed, monitoring workloads and performance; to include training,
staff development, work distribution, performance appraisals,
adherence to university policies and procedures, work schedules,
and commendation or disciplinary procedures.
- Manage and oversee new hire processing, onboarding, and new
hire orientation of new employees to the PPHP Program.
- Oversee budget processing and manage program resources
ethically and responsibly in accordance with university
policy.
- Assist with the annual promotional plan and long-range
marketing plans, analyzing marketing data and effectiveness of all
promotional activities in relation to department's marketing
guidelines.
- Assist with development and management of the PPHP program web
page.
- Independently and/or in coordination with the Director, develop
and manage events related to recruitment, admissions, student
support, clinical education, and career counseling for underserved
students.
- Assist with developing policies and procedures for effectively
managing all components of the program in accordance with
university policies and procedures to ensure fair, equitable, and
inclusive treatment of prospective and enrolled students.
- Serve as both internal and external representation for the
Program to promote, recruit, coordinate, facilitate, and maintain
connections between key stakeholders, particularly with clinical
training sits and alumni employers.
- Plan and conduct meetings with internal and external
stakeholders.
- Assist with data collection, management, and analysis to ensure
the HPP Program outcomes and specific aims are achieved.
- Assist the Director with grant reporting. This includes
writing, editing, fact-gathering, institutional resource
identification, obtaining supporting documents and forms, proposal
formatting, distribution, and submission.
- Assist the Director with curriculum development related to
student support and DEI .
- Assist the Director with faculty development related to student
support and DEI .
- Coordinate and curate wraparound services for underrepresented
student success.
- Serve on University, School, and community committees as
requested by the Director.
- Assist the Director with developing presentations and
publications related to the program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. University of the

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Two (2) years of full-time experience in the
same/similar position is equal to one (1) year of completed
post-high school education coursework).
- Five (5) years of experience providing senior level
administrative and professional program support. Preferred
Qualifications
- Master's Degree.
- Demonstrated experience working with health professionals,
business leaders, faculty, and/or adult learners.
- Demonstrated experience working in admissions, student,
affairs, or academic support services in higher education.
- Technical proficiency in the use of MS Office suite, Adobe
suite, Banner, Canvas, Qualtrics, GradCAS.
- Experience working with information protected by FERPA and/or
HIPPA requirements and/or the ability to process confidential
materials with discretion.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, time management
skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with
diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and
enhance diversity and inclusion.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse
backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity,
and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices
and knowledge in their work. Physical Requirements The physical

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Work is primarily performed in
an office environment. Work performed mostly during standard

Valley. Hiring Range $64,480.00 - $77,410.00 per year. We consider
