GENERAL MANAGER / DISTRICT MANAGER, TOMMY'S BOATS
Location: Rancho Cordova, Stockton, Fresno
Operational Hours: Monday-Friday (9am-6pm) and Saturdays
(10am-4pm); Closed Sundays
Status:Full-Time; Salary + Commission, Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW
Tommy's Boats General Manager/District Manager is responsible for
the overall operations, sales, and financial performance of all
departments associated with the assigned Tommy's Boats location(s)
in California, as well as employee recruitment and development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial
- Work with senior leadership to develop operating and capital
budgets and financial metrics
- Develop and implement plans to achieve targets, while
monitoring monthly performance.
- Operational
- Set high expectations for customer service and operational
performance and achieve them
- Develop and implement all business advertising, events, and
promotions
- Interface with customers, vendors, and regulatory
agencies
- Ensure best practices are being followed for all operational
procedures
- Ensure that the business achieves its operating and financial
goals
- Uphold all laws, standards and regulations that apply to the
businesses
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Personnel
- Develop and motivate team members to achieve business and
personal development goals
- Ensure boat sales personnel meet or exceed monthly/annual sales
goals (revenue and margin)
- Generate and nurture talent succession plans to ensure
sustained business performance
- Foster a culture consistent with company values, modeling
desired behavior in every interaction.
- Document all business processes and assist in training
employees on those processes
- Work with Human Resources to develop job descriptions, recruit,
interview and hire team members to fill all roles within the
organization
- Conduct regular performance reviews to promote employee
development and performance accountability
- All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate
the following competencies:
- Administration and Management:Knowledge of business and
management principles involved in strategic planning, resource
allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and
coordination of people and resources. Ability to clearly articulate
the company vision to employees and managers.
- Accounting and Analysis: Ability to read and understand
financial statements, create budgets and forecasts and act on the
data.
- Communication: Ability to interact professionally with
colleagues, clients, and company personnel; ability to clearly and
effectively communicate information both orally and in
writing
- Training: Ability to clearly document company procedures and
policies and train staff and employees on these company procedures
and policies
- Professional: Ability to interact professionally with
customers, vendors, and staff. Ability to think quickly and make
professional/knowledgeable decisions
- Organization: Ability to keep documents and tasks organized and
prioritized; ability to multitask and stay focused
- Pace: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility: Ability to work outside of normal operating hours
as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree
preferred
- Experience: Previous leadership and management experience (3
years+ preferred); Sales background preferred
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office experience required
- Driver License: Class "C" driver license may be required for
travel between dealerships in Sacramento and Fresno
- Characteristics: Possess humility, willingness to serve, and
the ability to teach. Clearly convey a passion for the business,
the customers, and the team members.

The work environment and physical demands listed below are

quiet to medium loud. Work is done in an office, on a boat, on the
dock or in a retail space.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the
employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time,
regularly required to stand and walk. Employee regularly uses hands
and fingers to touch, feel, handle. Employee regularly stoops,
kneels, bend at the waist, and reaches. Employee is frequently
required to speak and hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on
occasion.
