TITLE: EMAIL AUTOMATION MANAGER STATUS: EXEMPT DEPARTMENT:

EXPERIENCE JOB CODE: 11189 GRADE: 24S PAY SCALE: $95,300.00 -
$114,300.00 ANNUALLY GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for driving
optimized email initiatives that promote user engagement and
conversion. The role works closely with the Marketing and Digital
Services team members to build, coordinate, and manage campaign
initiatives, deliver a best-in-class audience experience, and
inform the ESP (CheetahMail) roadmap. The Email Automation Manager
acts as a subject matter expert on email best practices and makes
strategy recommendations based on performance analytics. The right
candidate is a blend of strategic thinker and in-the-trenches
practitioner-being able to think three steps ahead while still
getting the day-to-day work done. TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the resident subject matter expert for email
automation and CheetahMail in particular.
- Conduct relevant research, formulate strategy and
implementation plans, as well as tactical approaches for
capitalizing on new technological investments and those already in
place.
- Drive strategic efforts to grow and optimize email initiatives,
elevating best practices to key stakeholders, and ensuring
consistency across all email marketing.
- Utilize email automation tools to support Marketing campaigns
by building integrated campaigns, reviewing, and approving
messaging, maintaining email calendar, conducting A/B testing, and
evaluating user experience.
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Digital Services, IT, and other
departments across Golden 1 to develop segmented email
communications and user journeys that help drive engagement and
revenue.
- Work with key stakeholders to troubleshoot technical issues
within email marketing tools and conduct high-level training for
new team members.
- Be the resident expert on email strategy and guide key
stakeholders on email best practices, testing initiatives,
segmentation, and overall optimization.
- Lead and ensure flawless 360 execution of email campaigns in
support of marketing efforts: From planning, briefing, segmentation
definition, testing plans, lite email coding, QA, campaign set-up,
to reporting.
- Build, maintain and evolve recurring email channel/campaign
reporting in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Regularly
surface feedback on trends, successes, or potential areas for
concern.
- Research competitive landscape to identify new opportunities,
and stay up to date on email best practices, including ways to
center accessibility as a key component in the credit union's email
strategy.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and
regulations related to credit union compliance including bank
secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the
position.
- Provide enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to
Golden 1 members, non-members, and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES,
AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to
varying levels of analytical daily tasks.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate
standard office equipment such as a personal computer, VOIP
telephone, printers, scanners, etc. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS &
RELATIONSHIPS:
- INTERNAL: All levels of staff.
- EXTERNAL: Vendors, management, other financial institutions,
and other contact centers. QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in management of Information
Systems, Marketing, Communications and/or comparable
experience.
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum seven years of experience designing,
managing, and deploying email automation initiatives and
strategy.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Demonstrated technical experience with CheetahMail or similar,
enterprise-grade email marketing platforms
- Demonstrated experience coding emails (HTML, CSS, Photoshop,
mobile responsive email design)
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication
skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities
in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated history managing multi-layered projects across
various cross-functional teams, hitting milestones, and achieving
KPIs
- Possess a data-driven mindset, with experience defining key
business metrics for email marketing and managing email
experimentation
- Experience collaborating with a range of stakeholders on
various projects
- Tactical project management experience from concept to
completion PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional
mobility required.
- Corrected vision within the normal range.
- Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will
be provided if needed.
- Occasional movements throughout the department daily to
interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
