LPA is seeking a passionate and ambitious Structural Engineering
Director to lead a team of talented engineers and designers in our
Sacramento and San Jose Studios. You will work closely with other
regional and firmwide leaders to build on LPA's nearly 60 years of

and challenging building design projects throughout California and

integrated design process. You will be the structural engineering
leader in the firm's Northern California Region responsible for the
initiation and execution of engineering projects for the firm. This
is a highly visible role requiring the ability to communicate with
project teams, project staff and with our valued clients. What you
will do:
- Lead, grow, and manage a talented team of structural engineers
and designers in LPA's San Jose and Sacramento Studios including
participation in staff development, hiring and compensation
decisions.
- Have a strong voice in the leadership of the structural
engineering discipline firmwide.
- Contribute to the leadership and strategic growth of LPA's
Sacramento and San Jose Studios.
- Work with Studio and Practice Directors to develop strong and
lasting relationships with owners, developers, and public and
private clients.
- Monitor and coordinate the work of multiple structural
engineering project teams.
- Oversee Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the structural
engineering discipline.
- Work closely with internal and external team members to
establish and monitor schedules and budgets.What we will do:

coaching.Structural Engineering Director Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in structural or architectural
engineering.
- An active California Structural Engineer's (SE) license.
- 15 or more years of technical experience with 5 or more years
in a leadership role.
- Extensive hands-on experience in working with the California
Division of the State Architect (DSA) is required. Experience with
the California Department of Health Care Access and Information
(HCAI) is encouraged.
- Experience using ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM and RISA, and other
common structural design and analysis tools.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication
skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in highly collaborative

salary range for this position is $150K - $180K and is eligible for
