Job DetailsJob Location: Rex Moore - Sacramento - Sacramento, CAPosition Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayTravel Percentage: None WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership to front line field supervisors and office staff on multiple projects for multiple clients. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively balance customer needs, field force needs and office support staff needs while still maintaining a long-range vision of their projects. Perform duties as described in Rex Moore Role and Responsibilities. DESCRIPTION:Become intimately familiar with Rex Moores core business and operations as well as the operations of the services provided to the clientPlan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers and clientsPrepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be requiredReview bids from other firms for conformity to contracts requirements and determines acceptable bidsFosters and enhance owner, contractor, subcontractor and client relationsEstablishes and maintains contact with contractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding processCompile data for the preparation of the project scheduleManager all documentation associated with the creation and management of projects and subprojectsDefine scope and provide detailed preliminary and final cost estimatesExamine budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project construction schedule and budget on a recurring basisReview the project plans and specifications and comment on the design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction issues or concernsEnsure regular feedback is shared with staff as well as management on progress of project and budget through regularly scheduled team meetingsSupport and drive utilization of various Rex Moore initiatives and technologiesEnsure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements throughout the business unitDrive competencies to team on requirements for insurance, labor relations and employee relations QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 5 years as well as a minimum of 2 years of supervisory or project management experience in the commercial electrical industryBasic knowledge of electrical systems and their componentsThorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniquesProven written and verbal communication abilitiesDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and AccessAbility to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule REPORTING STRUCTURE:Project Managers report directly to the Senior Project Manager. CAREER ADVANCEMENT: Career advancement at Rex Moore is possible with all positions, but not guaranteed, and could be within the current department as well as other departments within the company. LOCATION: Rex Moore has branch offices located in Sacramento, Fresno and Hayward, CA.
