OVERVIEW:The Materials Manager is responsible for controlling
material movements and preservation within the facilities. This
position also provides leadership to increase value by driving
efficiencies in the material movement process. The Materials
Manager ensures all activities are in keeping with the ISO
9001:2015 standards. The ideal candidate will have prior
warehousing knowledge as well as excellent communication,
collaboration and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts ensuring
material is properly transacted in the ERP system.
Plan and organize daily operations and activities, including the
receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of
equipment and supplies.
Plan and implement streamlined layouts to maximize capacity and
efficiency.
Oversight of equipment inspections and work order issuance for
repair and/or requisitions for replacement.
Maintain and make incremental improvements to warehouse standards
and procedures; advise of budget-related needs and assist in the
bid process for various supplies as required.
Ensure labor resources are appropriately allocated to fulfill
demands.
Recruit, orient, train and develop team members.
Develop and maintain KPI's to monitor performance and report out to
the company.
Maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and
suppliers to support company QMS values.
Support a culture of safety and 7S standards.
Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIROMENT:The Materials Manager can expect their time will be
split equally between the manufacturing warehouse environment and
in an office environment. This position will be regularly exposed
inclement weather: cold, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the
work environment can be loud. Frequently exposed to vibrations,
moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and
chemicals. This position will work in a fast-paced environment with
frequently changing priorities. The office is an open and
collaborative space where work is performed both independently and
with the team.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:This position reports directly to the Supply
Chain Manager.
CAREER ADVANCEMENT:Career advancement at Construction Innovations
is possible with all positions, but is not guaranteed. Advancement
could be within the current department or to other departments
within the company.
LOCATION:Construction Innovations facilities and offices are
located in Sacramento, CA and Mather, CA.
COMPENSATION:Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates
commensurate with each employee's knowledge, experience and skill
level.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree preferred.
5 years minimum warehouse or distribution experience in a
leadership role required.
Experience with material control within a warehouse environment
required.
Experience working in a high volume, fast paced warehouse within a
manufacturing environment preferred.
Solid quantitative and analytical skills.
Possesses solid interpersonal skills working amongst a cross
functioning team.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and support change
management within an organization
Familiar with Just-in-Time (JIT) Inventory and Material
Requirements Planning (MRP).
Extensive experience working within an ERP and/or MRP system
required. Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate
instructions and information.
Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and
interpret detailed information.
Required to sit at a desk work station for long periods of
time.
Push, pull, lift, and carry at least 10 pounds.
Frequently required to walk and stand. This position may involve
infrequent site visits which will require the ability to walk on
uneven surfaces, climb stairs and wear appropriate personal
protective equipment.
Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order
to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor,
and proof-read documents to identify errors.
Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard,
handle, feel, and reach.
May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
