When considering candidates, we look for scientific and business professionals who are highly motivated, collaborative, and most importantly, share our passionate interest in fighting cancer.****Job Description:****General Description:**BeiGene is seeking an experienced global compliance officer to lead the non-GxP global compliance function and ensure the operational effectiveness of the Company's non-GxP compliance programs. Reporting to the General Counsel, the Chief Compliance Officer will contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices, and work with senior management to integrate appropriate healthcare, corporate, privacy and other controls for Company's global operations. The position may be located in Cambridge, MA, the California Bay Area, Basel, New York City, Switzerland, Shanghai or Beijing, China.**Essential Functions of the job:**+ Establish, develop and oversee BeiGene's global healthcare, corporate and privacy compliance programs.+ Advise on healthcare compliance matters including interpretation of company policies and practices regarding communications about BeiGene products; interactions with healthcare professionals, patients, managed care entities, academic institutions and government entities; product samples; expanded access; government pricing, price reporting and reimbursement; co-pay cards; competitive intelligence; government contracting and transparency.+ Advise on corporate compliance matters including interpretation of BeiGene's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and Company policies, procedures and practices regarding anti-bribery and anti-corruption, contracts, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, insider trading, privacy and security and other matters.+ Develop, refine and update non-GxP policies, procedures and practices to facilitate global compliance and best practices for healthcare, corporate and privacy matters.+ Develop and implement a global non-GxP training program, and oversee global training regarding healthcare, corporate and privacy matters.+ Develop and implement a global non-GxP monitoring and auditing program, and supervise audits and monitor the implementation of the Company's non-GxP compliance operations.+ Oversee the compliance hotline, investigate reports of noncompliance and enforce the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and non-GxP policies, procedures and practices and recommend remedial action, corrective action plans and disciplinary action as necessary.+ Conduct periodic risk assessments and develop and implement a work plan to address risk.+ Prepare periodic Compliance activity reports and facilitate proactive communication and socialization of initiatives to ensure a culture of compliance at BeiGene.+ Participate as appropriate in grant, expanded access, publications and advertising and promotion review processes, and attend external meetings (e.g., scientific congresses, advisory boards) as needed.+ Report on a regular basis to senior management and the Board of Directors regarding compliance matters.+ Hire and retain global compliance team and ensure appropriate and cooperative allocation of responsibilities.+ Build or maintain network of global compliance professionals and stay current on new laws, rules regulations, best practices and enforcement trends.**Supervisory Responsibilities:** The Chief Compliance Officer will oversee the current global team of compliance professionals. The position will also manage external counsel and, in cooperation with the General Counsel, manage the compliance team budget.**Education Required:** Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science required.**Computer Skills:** Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel**Other Qualifications:**+ 15+ years combined relevant experience including in-house pharmaceutical experience developing global compliance programs.+ Extensive experience with compliance matters relating to the development, approval and commercialization of pharmaceutical products.+ Comprehensive knowledge of global laws regarding kickbacks, fraud and abuse, false claims, drug development and marketing, price reporting, privacy and government contracting, transparency, privacy, bribery and corruption.+ Ability to apply a risk-based analysis to compliance issues and demonstrate creativity and flexibility in developing solutions that satisfy both business requirements and legal obligations.+ Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, adaptability, communication skills and professionalism.+ Ability to work in a matrix organization, collaborate with business partners, influence peers and interact with executive management and Board of Directors.+ Ability to manage and serve a wide range of client groups by recognizing and responding quickly and pragmatically to urgent situations.+ Exceptional and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills in both one-on-one and group settings, as well as proven negotiation skills.+ Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment.+ Confidence to advise clients at all levels with no oversight.+ Appropriate judgment to liaise with Legal and business colleagues and/or outside counsel as needed.**Travel:** Travel approximately 30% to include the US and China.This is a global position that requires frequent travel, both as needed and regularly to maintain a high level of visibility and contact with colleagues and the Board of Directors.**Competencies:****Ethics** - Treats people with respect; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.**Planning/Organizing** - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently.
