Reporting to the Director of Media Relations, this individual can be based in/near our Overland Park, KS headquarters or New York City metro, Ann Arbor, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham, San Diego Metro, or Washington DC regional offices, and will support global reputation, communications and revenue growth efforts. Working remotely, this professional must understand, develop and communicate the digital media strategy and vision to assigned work groups. ensuring alignment to functional, market segment and sales-enabling strategies across our global footprint.**Key Responsibilities**This is an emerging leadership position, with potential responsibility for overseeing one or more related team members and/or contractors and will be tasked with overseeing projects in the following areas: public relations, marketing and communications, including thought leadership activities, branding, employee advocacy and reputation management. This role will support the global public relations effort across the Company's operating geographies. (Professional responsibilities may cross functions as needed):General--- Responsible for staff and agency assignments, managing resources, performance management and career development of direct reports and contributors.--- Serves as a key business adviser to market sector or company management team.--- Ensures staff and external agencies get results by ensuring timely execution of communications activities.--- Develops and supports interdepartmental relationships.--- Provides input and feedback on progress towards metrics for teams.Branding--- Elevates Brand to set organization apart from competition--- Ties brand to organization's reputation in the marketplace, and implements and guards in a manner that builds the organization, and protects against misuseCommunications--- Clearly articulates what differentiates the organization from the competition, and effectively communicates these differentiators in internal and external marketing efforts--- Identifies and leverages opinion leaders to proliferate the organization's position as a thought leader in the marketplaceMarketing--- Manages the activities of team members/vendors to maximize the efforts of an organizational unit--- Executes methods to track effectiveness of implemented programs.--- Monitors performance and cost effectiveness of outside vendors and freelance contractors--- Formulates and distributes strategies for corporate or a division through various internal channels--- Assists in new product / services development and launch--- Ensures marketing and communications support and guidance is provided during acquisition processesSupervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and may have pay administration of their subordinates.\#LI-AK1**Management Responsibilities****Preferred Qualifications**Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.5+ years progressive management experience in related areas. Industry experience--- Experience with creating, curating and managing published content - to reach targeted customer groups.--- Reporter level writing skills--- Experience or understanding of B2B communications preferred.--- Ability to develop news releases, abstracts, full length articles, speeches, talking points to drive global-level strategies.--- Experience using social media channels for crisis response and reputation management requirements--- Ability to analyze PR campaign efficacy and translate/communicate data to contributors/stakeholders across business lines.
