Job DescriptionJob Title: Clinic ManagerDetails: Full time, FTE
= 1.0, Exempt. Day Shift As a Clinic Manager you will be under the
direction of the Senior Director of Operations/Chief Operations
Officer. Working with the operations team, the clinic manager has
full responsibility, authority and accountability for the
performance of the assigned practice. The Clinic Manager remains
responsible for provider scheduling, communications, management of
supervisory staff, physical clinic, operations, staff education and
training, supply inventory, etc. Duties include, but are not
limited to, the following:
- Demonstrate and sustain compliance with Western Sierra Medical
Clinic expectations, Code of Conduct.
- Understand, embrace, and instill WSMC's Mission, Vision and
Values.
- The Clinic Manager has direct accountability for the following
factors: Operating Commitments, Patient Satisfaction, staff
management, and provider schedules. Operations Management:
- Oversees daily management and collaboration of the clinic
practice site.
- Motivates staff and organizes day-to-day activity of clinic.
Ensures scheduling of staff to promote productivity as well as to
promote high clinical quality care delivery, and high service
quality, operational and financial viability, and to ensure
appropriate patient access to care.
- Purchase supplies and ensures proper value for funds
expended.
- Ensures accuracy of payroll submission. Ensures staffing
parameters, overtime and personnel, are within budget. Assists
staff with issues.
- Understands and assures compliance for regulatory, and system
processes.
- Conducts staff meetings. Prepare agendas and forwards meeting
notes to COO. Financial Management:
- Reviews departmental budgets. Identifies opportunities for
improvement and works with COO to develop a strategy to implement
necessary changes to meet operating commitments. Ensure compliance
to fiscal standards with focus on volume, customer service
initiatives, productivity, accuracy of documentation, staffing, and
clinical supply costs.
- Work with the COO to maintain clinic practice operating and
financial ratios to meet WSMC goals.
- Participate with COO in annual budget development and is
accountable for practice adherence to budget and/or other fiscal
goals.
- Ensure staff is trained, capable and held accountable to
provide high quality service in a caring and welcoming manner.
Personnel:
- Provides ongoing feedback to all support staff.
- In partnership with Human Resources ensures that employees
maintain licensure and certifications as required, as well as
coordinating yearly competency evaluation as applicable.
- Collaborates with Human Resources on personnel issues including
completing requisitions, interviewing, hiring, constructive
counseling and progressive discipline.
- Ensures appropriate staff competencies are maintained
(licensure, certification, orientation, mandatory training, and
continuing education).
- Works with the COO to interview and hire personnel as
necessary.
- Communicates regularly with the COO regarding staff issues,
critical patient care concerns, unit staffing changes, quality
issues and other pertinent data.
- Maintains communication with COO on weekly basis to check-in.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or
Nursing from an accredited educational institution.
- Three (3) years healthcare experience.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years Practice management experience.
