The Regional Operations Director (ROD) will be responsible for overseeing the business aspects of hospital operations and upholding a sound medical environment in a region of veterinary hospitals.--These hospitals are located in Northern California, and the chosen candidate will need to live within the area that you oversee. You will be working daily in a company that genuinely values local input and decision-making. The ROD supports the Hospital Managers and Medical Directors to meet goals and foster an excellent service culture and working environment. The ROD will perform a wide range of activities related to hospital operations, including:

• Accountability & responsibility for the hospital profit & loss statements
• Leadership of approximately 9 animal hospitals initially and -500 employees, including doctors, technicians, and other administrative team members
• Management of 12+ direct reports including both Hospital Managers and Medical Directors
• The transition of acquired veterinary practices into your family of animal hospitals
• The expansion and renovation of animal hospitals to increase size and add services

You will report to a Senior Regional Operations Director and lead these activities with the help of a Regional Medical Director, Local Marketing Managers, Recruiters, and other field support who work with the -80 hospitals in the Northern California group. You also have access to extensive resources based in our LA support office. Qualifications
  • Leadership for a multi-site operational business
  • Healthcare site management preferred though not required
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience building high performing teams
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities
  • Record of producing revenue growth in your area
  • Success in engaging with Medical Directors and other doctors
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degrees or credentials (MBA, CVPM, etc.) welcome
  • Available for travel daily throughout the region with some overnight/out of area travel required NOTES:
