Job Description:
Join Avis Budget Group, a leader in the mobility solutions
sector, as a Mobile Truck Mechanic. In this dynamic role, you will
be part of a committed team that ensures the operational efficiency
of our diverse fleet of vehicles, including Avis, Budget, and
Zipcar brands. Your main task will be maintaining and repairing
vehicles directly at locations where they are based or when they
are out on the road, providing indispensable support that enhances
customer satisfaction and fleet reliability. This position demands
technical skills, an ability to work independently, and a strong
commitment to safety and quality service delivery. Conduct routine
and emergency maintenance and repairs on all makes and models of
trucks directly at hubs or on the road. Diagnose mechanical issues
and provide swift, accurate repairs. Maintain detailed records of
services performed and parts used. Ensure compliance with all
safety guidelines and regulations. Collaborate with the fleet
management team to ensure maximum availability and reliability of
the vehicles. Assist in the training and mentoring of junior
mechanics as needed. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and
equipment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and
electrical systems. Ability to work independently and make
decisions under pressure. Excellent problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid driver’s
license, preferably a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). ASE
Certification in Heavy Truck Mechanics (T1-T8) is a plus.
