Position Details:
Title: Field Technician
Location: Primary areas of responsibility include customers located in San Joaquin and Stanislaus county. Technicians may also service Merced County, Sacramento County, the Bay area locations on the I-80 corridor as needed, but is seldom. Relocation is available for a strong candidate on a case-by-case basis.
Shift: Monday-Friday; 8-5 with on-call scheduled 1 in every 7 weeks.
Compensation: $75k-$85k
Benefits: Comprehensive
Travel: Travel around the serviced area in a company-provided vehicle.

Position Description:
The primary focus is to provide continuing service support for Motorola 2-way radios under the company service contracts. Ideal candidates will know how to use a service monitor (an Aeroflex 3920 or similar), Oscilloscope, TIMS set, multimeter, as well as possess good soldering skills for component level repairs.
Requirements:
--- Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Emergency Support maintenance of customer's radio systems
--- Troubleshoot and solve system and process-related problems
--- Perform system verification and calibration
--- Actively interface with customers at all levels
--- Ensures customer satisfaction through oral and written communication
--- Provide 24x7 emergency support to customer. Technicians are on a rotation schedule with other company Technicians (7)
--- Good technical background
--- Good troubleshooting skills
--- Good computer/networking skills
--- Professional appearance and standards
--- Able to pass a background check to obtain a security badge for public safety
--- Able to pass a physical examination
--- Have a good work ethic, and dedication to the company
--- Have your own basic hand tools
--- Be able to go on-call on a 7-week (or as-needed) schedule. Be available after-hours for service calls as required (with additional compensation)
