We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization:SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview:Leads the development of enterprise technology, solutions, systems, storage, network and telecommunications engineering designs that are used as a basis for consolidating and standardizing infrastructure throughout Sutter Health and its affiliates. Interprets architecture requirements, design, product evaluations, selection, configuration, installation, testing and integration of new technology to better support the needs of Sutter Health and its affiliates. Provides in-depth cross-platform server systems, systems engineering, and integration leadership.Job Description:EDUCATIONEquivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Bachelor's: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent education/experiencePREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:6+ years demonstrated knowledge in thedesign, integration and implementation of telecommunications and data communications technology systems and related infrastructures. 6+ years proven experience as an RCDD Designer in the design, integration and implementation of voice and data communications cabling systems and related infrastructure for large sites.6+ years project management experience.6+ years experience working with change management practices.Must possess a current RCDD designation (Registered Communications Distribution Designer)SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEDemonstrate proficiency across a wide range of areas within structured cabling systems,including network, outside plant, wireless and electronic safety and security design, data centers and building automation systems (BAS).Must be able to develop and manage drawing changes and coordinate the structured cabling design with other design disciplines.The designer will produce engineering estimates, print details, & bid specifications.Assignments require judgment and application of a non-routine, complex nature, under the supervision of the Project Engineer.Responsible for the preparation of project specific construction specifications and construction administrationReview current Network Infrastructure standards and can write new network infrastructure standard documentation when required.Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, vendors, IS team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.Must coordinate with and help resolve conflicts with other disciplines based on an excellent understanding of the design process.Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Must be proficient in the use of: Microsoft Windows, Excel, Project, and WordMust be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and VisioMust be proficient in reading blue prints and architectural drawings.Use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.Negotiate or exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify patterns, tendencies, and relationships resulting in the formulation of logical and objective conclusions.Make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction.Encourage individuals either in a one-to-one or small group situation in order to establish rapport and gain the trust of others or to listen perceptively and convey awareness.Clear focus and dedication on customer service that influences all actions and decisions.DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEDepartment:Network specialty, Network infrastructure which may include local area networks, wireless local area network (WLAN). structured cabling systems, including network, outside plant, wireless and electronic safety and security design, data centers and building automation systems (BAS).Department:Able to create a smart design, evaluating the proper amount of space neededtoday and for years to come.
