As a Maintenance Technician - Electrical, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high energy maintenance department supporting reliability and repair of production assets for manufacturing of the best rail vehicles in the world.

**What you will be doing :**

+ Provide hands on preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of complex manufacturing equipment such as: welding robots, CNC machines, hydraulic presses, remote controlled equipment movers, lifting jacks, cranes, motors, pumps, and other industrial equipment.

+ Analyze technical equipment problems on-site and complete repairs and maintenance related to high and low voltage electrical systems, motors, pumps, HVAC, welding machines, industrial electric powered vehicles, scissor lifts, switchboards, transformers, and drive units.

+ Execute set-up and start-up of new equipment

+ Conduct routine scheduled preventive maintenance activities.

+ Maintain accuracy of spare parts inventory.

+ Support maintenance of technical documentation for processes and equipment.

+ Safely use hand and power tools.

+ Certification for the use of some tools and equipment may be required, such as crane, forklift and fall protection equipment.

+ Complete work order documentation, quality documents, and accurately clock labor hours.

+ Meet company standards for quality and workmanship

+ Meet production schedule, quality requirements, and budgeted labor hours with limited supervision.

+ Explain procedures and techniques to fellow workers.

+ Follow all safety requirements, including use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Contribute to and maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

**What you need to be successful:**

+ 3-5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of industrial equipment and systems.

+ Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop drawings, hydraulic diagrams, P&ID's, and blueprints

+ Experience with 3-phase power, PLC, and motor and motion control

+ Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems or failures.

+ Basic English skills - ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.

+ High school education or GED

**We would be impressed if you have:**

+ Associate Degree (AS) in a related electrical or technical discipline, or vocational training/certification in a related discipline.

+ Experience with servo and VFD drives, rectifiers, inverters, and motion control components and systems.

+ Lift and move no more than 40 pounds.
