Are you a Director of Process Engineering who has a track record of process redesign and improvement? Our client serves distributors and OEMs by devising custom engineered driveline solutions with a focus on the following industries: agriculture, construction, specialty vehicles, aerial platform, material handling, forestry, mining, oil, marine, military, airport support, and automotive/truck end markets. As Director of Process & Facilities Engineering you will provide leadership in the continuous improvement technical aspects of manufacturing during a three shift operation. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, and with a team of six direct reports, overall responsibility will include lean manufacturing, process & flow design, facilities & equipment engineering, and environmental compliance and reporting. As Director of Process & Facilities Engineering your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing lean processes to the manufacturing facility which includes implementing metrics to move the workforce to high performance work teams. Initiatives include process design, facility layout, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, hidden factory, and continuous improvement teams
• Working with Manufacturing Engineers on the shop floor redesigning material flow and process layout for efficiency
• Supporting and actively maintaining 5S objectives
• Optimizing machine capability and process documentation
• Maintaining, executing, and developing lean programs for all employees
• Implementing best practices--Improving and implementing procedures to maximize output, reduce setup times, scrap rework, and manufacturing costs
• Developing all time studies, capacity planning, and pats routing information Your background should include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. BSIE a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Track record as a change agent and coach
  • Experience in both low volume/high mix and high-volume manufacturing experience
  • Strong assembly experience Although our client prefers local/commutable candidates, relocation assistance may be offered.
