STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (Registered EIT or PE Highly Preferred) Structural Vertical Building Engineering and Design Rocklin, California Position: Structural Engineer " (Vertical Building Structural Design and Engineering) Location: Rocklin, California (20 miles north east of Downtown Sacramento) Flourishing Structural Engineering firm specializing in the structural design of commercial, residential, and transportation buildings and structures, actively seeks 3 to 5+ years experienced Structural Engineer to join our thriving office in Rocklin, CA. This is a long term full-time position with lots of opportunity for unique professional growth and in-house career advancement. Licensed in California, Arizona, Colorado, Florida and Nevada; we have completed a vast array of structural engineering projects across the country. Over the years our firm has built strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, building officials, and state and local governments. The ideal and successful Structural Engineer will be a motivated, self-disciplined engineer with past structural engineering work experience pertaining to ground up vertical structures such as light framed wood structures and steel buildings. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: Four-year degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis) from an accredited university. Minimum of at least 3 to 5+ years experience in structural building design (REQUIRED) Current registration as an Engineer-In- Training EIT / FE or Licensed P.E. (PREFERRED) Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, ENERCALC, SAP2000, and MS Word. Proficient knowledge if current California Building Code (CBC), ASCE 7-10, AISC 14th Ed., and ACI318-11 Must have a current drivers license and ability to clearly and confidently communicate with clients, consultants, and coworkers. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete structural engineering analyses and design assignments with the help, guidance, and training from upper level engineers/managers. Assist in preparation or modification of structural engineering reports, specifications, graphics, and designs for projects. Use computer assisted structural engineering and design software/equipment to prepare structural engineering and structural design documents. Coordinate with technical staff as necessary. Perform minor CAD drafting. Create redlines for Staff Level Structural Engineer or Structural CAD Technician drafting. Past experience working for Structural Engineering and Design firms like Buehler & Buehler, KPFF, Barrish Pelham, Harris & Sloan, HOK, Thornton Tomasetti, etc. would be a plus.
