Valley Oral Surgery in Sacramento California is looking for an Oral Surgery Receptionist to join our exceptional practice.GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Greet patients, data entry, verify insurance coverage and eligibility, scheduling, heavy phones for multi-doctor private practice. Occasional seat consultations and post-op appointments which would include taking X-rays.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to ManagerSUPERVISION EXERCISED: NoneTYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stocking front office supplies. Occasionally lift and carry items up to 30 pounds. requires normal visual acuity and hearing. May walk or assist patients to and from surgery.EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: Greet patients, present patient forms, data entry, scheduling, heavy phones, calls to insurance carriers re coverage and eligibility. Work closely with referring offices. Maintain HIPAA compliance. Maintain patient and doctor confidentiality at all times.RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Preferred oral surgery experience. Good understanding of insurance, scheduling, heavy phones, ability to multi task. Ability and experience to occasionally seat patients for routine appointments. Such as consultation and post op appointments. Must to be compassionate and caring to patients and families. Need to possess strong communication and coordination skills, especially pertaining to referring offices. Will need to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, prioritize and complete tasks under stress with frequent interruption. Must to be a positive and supportive team player.EDUCATION: High school graduation or GEDEXPERIENCE: Minimum one-year, oral surgery preferredCERTIFICATES:1. X-ray license2. CPR certificate3.
