Preparation & Filing: Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and
local tax documents, including returns, extensions, and quarterly
payments. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of dedicated
staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.
Training & Development: Train new and current staff on office
policies, procedures, and updates to tax laws to ensure compliance
and efficiency. Tax Strategy Research: Research and recommend tax
strategies based on federal, state, and local taxation issues to
optimize client outcomes. Performance Assessment: Coordinate and
assess the performance of accounting staff to ensure high-quality
service delivery. Client Support: Provide support to clients by
answering tax-related inquiries and scheduling appointments to
enhance client relationships. Business Development: Promote
services and expand client base, contributing to the firm’s growth
and success. Client Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong client
relationships through effective communication and exceptional
service. Audit Representation: Represent clients during IRS, state,
or other audits, providing expert support throughout the process.
Form Preparation: Prepare various forms, including sales tax,
assessor forms, power of attorney forms, and other required tax
forms. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the tax department
staff to facilitate tax planning, client interaction, and special
projects. Key Qualifications Current Certified Public Accountant
License 8 years experience with preparation of individual AND
business tax forms, 5 of which in a management role Experience
managing multiple Tax preparers before and have the
ability/experience to sign off on returns Strong knowledge of U.S.
federal, state, and local reporting requirements for individual and
business tax filings Experience with Lacerte, Ultra Tax, or Drake
Software Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Excellent
