Job Description Job Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Sacramento, CA Duration: 6 months Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Description This position serves as a primary accounting resource responsible for reviewing reimbursement draw requests submitted by internal departments under a federally funded recovery program . The role includes reviewing sampled costs claimed against executed contracts to ensure consistency with approved projects and funding requirements. Responsibilities include reconciling claimed costs within an enterprise financial system (SAP-based) to verify that expenses have been incurred and payments have been received. The position also ensures compliance with applicable U.S. Treasury regulations, Federal OMB guidelines, and contract terms . The Senior Accountant will assist the Accounting Manager in compiling federal expenditure data for Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) reporting and will act as a liaison for potential program audits. Additional responsibilities include supporting subrecipient monitoring activities in accordance with federal requirements and performing other accounting-related duties as needed during normal operations. Required Skills Comprehensive knowledge and skills expected of a professional accountant Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including cost accounting Demonstrated ability to assemble, analyze, and prepare reports involving complex financial data Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Familiarity with automated financial systems Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Required Experience 2–4 years of professional accounting experience Additional Information This is a fully onsite position Standard work hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday For more details reach at resumes@navitassols.com.
