Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned -Reviews invoices entered at the site level for accuracyProcesses invoices received at corporate office and integrates into workflow systemProcesses checks and reportsAssists accounting staff, CFO and Controller with special requests for information Requirements: Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Commitment to green-building and sustainable policies and practicesAbility to work independently and take initiativeAbility to work in a team environment including multicultural settings Education/ Experience: Associate of Arts (A.A.) in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning plus 2 years of accounts payable experience in a high volume environment, or equivalent experience and/or training, preferably with a non-profit organization. Accountability: Under the supervision of the Controller, perform all duties in a detailed oriented, verifiable manner. Take responsibility to complete tasks assigned in a complete and timely manner. Exercise independent judgment in concert with assignments. Perform all duties to the highest ethical and accounting standards. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
