GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for gathering business and technical needs for enterprise-wide projects, including the research and development of new concepts, ideas and applications as well as the enhancement of current strategy, processes, applications and infrastructure. This role creates validation plans and verifies requirements are met. The Senior Project Analyst ensures consistency with credit union strategy, commitments, and goals. -The Senior Project Analyst helps operate the project management office of the credit union, including keeping methods, forms and tools current and up to date. This position provides input into the formation and refinement of project analysis and quality frameworks, leveraging experience with the Business Analysis Book of Knowledge (BABOK), research techniques, analytical skills and knowledge of financial services industry.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Simultaneously support several complex projects with varied deliverables, team members, and audiences requiring ongoing prioritization and relationship management.
Drive the evaluation of new business ideas, vendors, and business models across multiple business functions, defining impacts and solutions.
Responsible for analysis, including elicitation, to determine functional, non-functional and technical requirements.
Perform detailed analysis as needed, including business case and cost/benefit analysis and leading vendor assessments.
Develop epics, user stories, use cases, workflows, gap analysis, impact reports, vendor comparisons, quality plans, verification cases and other documentation necessary for successful project delivery within PMO standard process.
Work with vendor partners and their tools to document, share and verify requirements through to implementation.
Effectively facilitate and communicate project requirements to team members and stakeholders, including senior management in a timely and clear fashion.
Proactively manage changes in project scope and requirements, identify quality risks, and track deliverables.
Develop Request for Proposals (RFP), including business needs and product/service expectations. Analyze and compare vendor responses, collate vendor risk assessments (financial, physical and electronic security reviews).
Support information management by analyzing user requirements and transitioning them into technical requirements for management processes and usability test plans.
Set and continually manage expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Provide an overview of scope for ongoing business initiatives, create scope backlogs that can be translated into a list of work and work with delivery teams to drive execution.
Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
Ensure artifacts and deliverables meet defined quality standards.
Coach, mentor and motivate team members and vendors, and influence them to take accountability and positive action for their assigned work. Provide focus and direction to team members to reach targets and deadlines.
Provide input to status and test reports quantitatively and narratively.
Direct, develop, follow-up and monitor the progress of stakeholders and project team members. Conduct meetings and maintain progress tracking. Provide focus and direction to team members to reach targets and deadlines.
Assist department leadership as needed and performs other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills to interact with members, credit union staff and management, negotiate vendor agreements and manage project teams.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as personal computer, multi-use copiers and telephone.
Must be able to work on own initiative.
Excellent business and technical analysis skills are required to support the implementation of enterprise-wide projects, prepare recommendations, perform analysis, and to accomplish other analyst functions as listed.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines; may be required to work extended hours to complete tasks.
Carry and respond to smartphone 24/7.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
INTERNAL: - All levels of staff and management, including Senior Management.
EXTERNAL: Members, vendors, suppliers, government agencies, credit union industry associations and peers at other financial institutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems or Computer Science is strongly preferred. Advanced Degree in Business Administration or other related area is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum eight years of combined experience in project analysis, coordination and management with a minimum of five years of experience directly creating requirements and quality analysis. Experience supporting complex projects end-to-end required, preferably in a financial institution.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Knowledge of financial products and services, especially as it relates to various delivery channels preferred.
Knowledge of existing credit union products, services and overall operational guidelines.
Strong knowledge of business analytical practices and methodologies and process improvement methodologies.
Strong research, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
Customer-focused attitude and ability to work proactively and efficiently.
Supportive of all decisions, choices, goals and objectives as determined by PMO leadership and Executive leadership.
Proven ability to evaluate key business objectives and develop appropriate action plans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, MS Teams, MS SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
Ability to use logical reasoning when making objective observations, examinations, evaluations and recommendations.
Familiarity with common contractual language and contract negotiation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
Corrected vision within the normal range.
Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
Ability to lift 20 lbs. as may be required
Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
May require long work hours to accomplish tasks.
Occasional travel may be required locally, statewide, and throughout the United States to attend seminars and vendor group meetings. Overnight travel and evening schedules included.
Prolonged use of telephone to accomplish tasks.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) is required.
