Job Description:

Will design, implement and maintain Java application phases. Will develop

enterprise and object oriented solutions in a Java/J2EE environment using

JSP, Servlets, Spring 3.0, and Hibernate 3.5. Will develop, test, implement

and maintain application software working with established processes. Will

apply relationship database technologies using Oracle 10g, SQL, and PL/SQL

in accordance with accepted industry standards and guidelines. Will

complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules,

and activities. Will contribute to team meetings, troubleshoot development

and production problems across multiple environments and operating

platforms. Will update job knowledge by researching new internet

technologies and software products, participate in educational

opportunities, read professional publications, etc. Will monitor the

project development lifecycle. Will enhance organization reputation by

accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring

opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Will bench mark service

and expertise in load testing and performance testing using tools,

including SOAPUI and Silk Performer. Will test, design, and write code for

production quality software leveraging JBoss, Tomcat as well as XML, XML

Beans, and XSL. Will utilize agile methodologies to analyze systems and

engage in full life cycle development. Will assist with the technical

direction for implementation of projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or

a related field plus 5 years of software development experience and

programming in Java.

OR, in the alternative:

Master's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or

a related field plus 3 years of software development experience and

programming in Java.

Special Requirements:

1. Demonstrated expertize designing applications/Web services using JAVA

design patterns and implementing Proof of Concept for new technology and

JAVA API, including Drools, Spring, Struts, SOAP, Hibernate, Java

Persistence API and REST API.

2. Demonstrated expertise analyzing Production Server, Network issues by

reviewing server logs, thread dump using tools, including Wire shark, and

jmx/jconsole.

3. Demonstrated expertise leveraging server configuration for JBoss,

WebSphere, WebLogic and Tomcat to develop enterprise applications in a J2EE

environment and implementing designs to support automated build and

deployment processes using maven/Hudson.

4. Demonstrated expertise applying Object-Oriented software engineering

methodologies, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Design by Contract,

UML, Use-Case-driven development, Unified Software Development Process,

full Software Development Life Cycle, and Extreme Programming.
